If you are a tutor, you will be able to customize your avatar or change your profile photo. If you signed up with a Google account, your profile picture associated with your account is used, so you should be able to change it from there. Otherwise, you can always edit your avatar by going to My Profile | Edit Profile | Edit Avatar.
